News has broken that beloved stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the newest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.

A Significant Reunion for Fans

The duo are returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the roles they originated. It is believed their cameos will probably be featured in a flash-forward sequence, given that the original saga concluded with their characters living in peace.

This represents the sixth installment in the blockbuster Hunger Games franchise.

The Source Material

Sunrise on the Reaping draws its story from a 2025 novel by series creator Suzanne Collins. It will be the second film set before the original story after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. • Ralph Fiennes will appear as a earlier incarnation of the calculating President Snow.
